About
Celebration Community Athletics offers activities that include Flag Football, Cheer, Spring Break Camp, Volleyball Training, sports leagues, camps, and family-friendly events. The program includes faith-based sports programs that combine these activities with a focus on faith and community relationships.
Celebration Community Athletics is led by Paul Podraza, CEO of Celebration Community Athletics. Paul Podraza has been a part of the town of Celebration for 8 years and has been running sports leagues in town since 2017. CCA exists to counter certain trends by offering sports, camps, and family-friendly events that give kids a chance to be active, grow in their faith, and build relationships in a nurturing community.
CCA grew from the outreach of Upward Sports at Celebration Community Church. It is owned and operated by Community+Athletics (C+A), a non-profit that helps other organizations point people to Jesus through community and sports and aims to equip, encourage, and engage churches and missionaries around the world to reach out into their community with the gospel. CCA Corporate Sponsors support the organization financially.
Parents and participants have shared experiences from the program. One testimonial describes Alex and Shai, who participated in programs for years and later returned as referees to help games run smoothly and fairly. Another describes Peter, who first joined CCA as a boy visiting from Poland, later returned as a translator for a mission trip in 2022, and now travels to the U.S. each summer to help lead camps while planning similar sports and faith-based programs in Poland. A third testimonial describes Olivia, who has been part of CCA for six seasons and thanked the program for helping her improve her basketball skills and for teaching her about Jesus, sharing that her faith and relationship with Christ have grown through what she has learned on and off the court.
