Osceola Arts was founded in 1960 as the Footlight Theatre Guild, officially became a non-profit in 1962, was dedicated on September 7, 1969, as the Osceola County Art & Culture Center, was renamed in the 1990s to Osceola Center for the Arts, and later to Osceola Arts in 2014. Osceola Arts has been described as a cultural cornerstone in Central Florida since 1960 and serves as a hub for local arts organizations with an extensive outreach program. The mission of Osceola Arts is to promote, cultivate, and foster interest and participation in the arts by providing affordable and accessible programs and facilities that encourage artistic expression in the diverse community they serve. The organization is currently closed for renovation while the Box Office remains open with limited hours, and all on-site parking is free with a full liquor bar available at performances where cash and credit are accepted.
