Lake Aurora Christian Camp

Lake Aurora Christian Camp is a Christian camp and retreat center that offers programs for youth, adults, and families. It uses elements of nature, role modeling, skill development, Bible study and worship, and social and recreational interaction in its programs. It is owned and operated by independent congregations of the Christian Church/Church of Christ in central Florida and is available to other Christian groups and nonprofit organizations whose purposes are not perceived to be contrary to the teachings of Christ and the Scriptures.

Lake Aurora Christian Camp was established in 1947, and its campus has grown from 20 to 85 acres over time. Its mission for summer youth camp is to make campers aware that their whole life is lived before God and to equip them to live in harmony with the will of God by teaching biblical principles and giving them opportunities to put those principles into practice. Its retreats and camps for adults and families focus on addressing specific issues, developing skills and gifts, exploring ministry and vocational possibilities, ministering to each other, and worshipping and praising God through programs targeted to specific areas of interest or need. Lake Aurora Christian Camp networks with churches and with educational, public, and private organizations that share compatible philosophies and goals, and it cooperates with other organizations and communities to achieve mutual benefits that support its mission. It is a 501(c)(3) organization that undergoes voluntary annual financial audits, meets industry standards of health and safety, and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, meeting its seven standards of responsible stewardship.
