O2B Kids offers preschool, afterschool, and summer camp, along with birthday parties and playgroups. Children can take part in activities such as gymnastics, dance, karate, cheer-leading, yoga, sports, drama, music, art, science, technology, and chess, as well as a variety of classes and special events. The founders, Andy Sherrard and Danny Stevens, began their journey toward creating O2B Kids after a one-year trip around the world in 1992. O2B Kids highlights an education “SuperCenter” concept that combines a magical play village for unscripted play with an organized calendar of daily classes in areas such as arts, sciences, fitness, and fun, and it emphasizes learning through play. The program offers innovative preschool, afterschool, and membership programs and includes a Pick-Your-Days Care option that allows families to choose the days that work best for their schedule, including two days a week, three days, or more.
O2B Kids reports that every location is nationally accredited or in the process of becoming nationally accredited. The organization has received recognition such as The Gainesville Sun Best of Gainesville Best Child Care, Our Town FAVES Favorite Local Preschool and Favorite Local After School Program, Tampa Bay Times Best of The Best Best Preschool and Best Youth Education/Recreation, WEDU PBS Kids Be My Neighbor Day Block Party Most Spirited Booth, The Exchange Top 25 Preschool, and Orlando’s Playground Magazine Family Favorite Best Preschool, Best Summer Camp, and Best Indoor Play Place. O2B Kids describes several community efforts, including its O2B a Kid Again FUNdraiser, which has raised over $500,000 for public schools. Each year, O2B Kids awards Preschool, Afterschool, and Membership scholarships through the O2B Kids Founders’ Club Scholarships to children who inspire the organization. The program also hosts Parent Night Out fundraisers for local charities, schools, and civic organizations, and participates in community events and school carnivals with face-painters and balloon artists at local festivals, art shows, and fundraising events. Staff members participate in the United Way campaign, volunteer in local schools, and serve as board members for local non-profit organizations, and students raise money and contribute to charities such as local Humane Societies, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, UNICEF, and the Red Cross, as well as organizing canned food drives, book drives, and teddy bear collections.
O2B Kids notes that it has developed several software tools, including Beekeeper Management Software, Funnydaffer Curriculum Software, and Honeycomb Communication Software. The organization also states that it serves as an operating partner for the Child Center, has partnered with Spire Capital, and has completed a full rebrand and launched a new website.
