Pigeon Key Marine Science Summer Camps and Field Trips is led in part by Arianna (Ari) Binienda, Education Coordinator. Pigeon Key and Marine Science Center was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1990 and was established as a non-profit organization in 1992. It has been named one of the best and top things to do in the Florida Keys by Southern Living, and Pigeon Key and Marine Science Center was designated a National Historic Landmark. The program is described as award-winning Marine Science Summer Camps and is run as a technology-free zone for camps, and it also offers historic tours related to Henry Flagler’s Overseas Railroad and a live webcam to view the island’s views and waters remotely. One parent testimonial mentions walking across the bridge and seeing dolphin and turtle on the way, and another mentions a train ride over the old 7 mile bridge, an educational tour, feeding sharks in a shark pool, and getting in the water.
