YMCA of Collier County Youth Development Programs include activities such as pickleball, tennis, swimming, and other sports. The programs also include recreational programs, camp programs, specialty camp programs, and day camp programs.
The YMCA of Collier County operates under the leadership of CEO and President Cindy Love-Abounader. Its mission is putting Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA of Collier County has been serving Collier County since 1967, with the Marco Y founded on November 14, 1977, the North Campus serving for fifty-three years after its founding in 1967, and the South Campus serving children, families, and communities for 40 years. The organization is a non-profit committed to strengthening community and connects individuals, families, and communities with opportunities that strengthen spirit, mind, and body. Y volunteers and supporters remain at the heart of the organization, and through support from volunteers and both public and private donors it is able to serve more people and strengthen the community. Unique features connected to these programs include Early Learning Centers focused on child development, a Youth & Teen Center at the South Campus, an Outdoor Ability Field at the North Campus, an Outdoor Airnasium at the South Campus, a Community Garden at the South Campus, a 24-hour Fitness Center at the South Campus, and nine outdoor pickleball courts at the South Campus. The YMCA of Collier County also offers financial assistance through scholarships for membership and programs based on demonstrated need and is engaged in a Capital Campaign for building a Stronger Community, with a Healthy Living Center in Marco Island opening soon and the Bill and Karen Young Balcony overlooking the Marco Island YMCA campus.
