Miami Beach JCC Youth Programs, Camps, and Sports includes after-school programs, children’s camps, youth sports and leagues, and youth travel teams. Kids can take part in activities such as aquatics, swim lessons, the Mariner Swim Team, gymnastics recreational classes, competitive team gymnastics, basketball, flag football, racquetball, youth sports camp, and sports classes and leagues. The program also offers cultural programs under its art + culture + ideas offerings, including events such as a Mah Jongg Tournament, Literary Luncheon, cooking demo, film series, and Comedy Night – That’s So Jewish Live Game Show.

• Schedule: Facility and program options available seven days a week, with general operating hours starting as early as 5:30 AM on weekdays and running into the evening, and weekend hours during the day

Miami Beach JCC Youth Programs, Camps, and Sports takes place in a facility that includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, a zero-depth entry heated pool, basketball courts, an indoor racquetball court, and the Kotzen Aquatics Center. Seasonal options include Camp Klurman Summer Camp, School Days Out, Fall Break Camp, Winter Camp, and Spring Camp. The organization also offers over 60 free group exercise classes and personalized training. The MBJCC’s mission is to be the center of social, cultural and recreational life in Miami Beach, serving its diverse Jewish population and the community at large, and it is committed to meeting the ever-changing needs of a diverse Jewish community, for strengthening Jewish identity, and enriching the quality of life in the Miami Beach community.

The MBJCC reports that it serves 5,000 members, offers 250 sports, recreational and enrichment programs, and 100 seasonal arts and culture and adult programs. It notes that it hosts about 600 campers each summer and provides over $175,000 in scholarship support to community members in need through the Everyone Belongs Scholarship & Sustainability Fund. The MBJCC describes its community involvement as including food drives, educational services from the “School Days @ the J” program, CoVid-19 antibody blood drives, and facilitation of vaccines through organized outreach.
