Swim Gym Swim School offers private and group swim lessons and classes, including Baby Swim, Adult Swim, and Private Swim. The program also includes a Swim Team, Water Safety Instructor training, Lifeguard Training, and Fitness & Health activities.

Swim Gym Swim School was founded in 1984 and has taught over 70,000 swimmers since then. Since 1983, more than 40,000 Water Wise students have participated in Swim Gym programs. The program serves participants from 3 months to 80+ years old and focuses on making every person in or around water Water Wise. Its mission is to eradicate or reduce statistics of death by accidental drowning through education.
Coach Robert Strauss is the founder and director of Swim Gym and holds an M. Ed. from the University of Miami (Class of 1977). Coach Robert Strauss has taught in Miami, Florida since 1973 and is a 1972 Olympian for the Mexican National Team. Coach Dario Parra is described as an expert sports professional and swimming coach, and he is a certified Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard/First-Aid, a certified USA Swimming Coach, and American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) International Level 3. Instructor Erwin Maldonado, referred to as “Instructor Erwin,” is a three-time Olympic swimmer from Venezuela (Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016) and is a certified Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard by the American Red Cross in the United States.
The International Swimming Hall of Fame named Coach Robert Strauss the 2019 recipient of the Virginia Newman Award. Swim Gym is described as a prestigious, world renown program and is recognized around the world as a leader in the field of aquatic education since its inception in 1984. The program uses innovative cutting edge techniques, includes the Swim Gym Levels program, and offers the Swim Gym “Swiminar” hosted by Robert Strauss. Every staff member creates a friendly environment using pedagogical sound teaching practices, and the progress of every participant is measurable. Swim Gym is a proud partner with RS Swimminar.
