The center describes its kids martial arts fitness and educational programs as focusing on functional training, real-world self-defense, personal development, and developing life skills while helping children become indistractible. The programs are described as where East meets West and a bridge between traditional and contemporary martial arts and fitness, with bully-proof training for children and safe, structured sparring for kids.

Head instructor Julio Anta is a competitive Masters Bodybuilder, a certified instructor who trains in Krav Maga, Judokickbox, Haganah, Jeet Kune Do, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, and Israeli Tactical Shooting, and an NRA Pistol and Rifle Instructor. He is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Tai chi student, a retired Corrections Officer and FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) officer, and an honorably discharged United States Marine Corps Sergeant. All instructors are trained and certified by Julio Anta, are required to stay in shape for life, are described as experts in developing life skills and helping children become indistractible, and firearms class instructors are NRA certified. The leadership team also includes Elena Anta, co-developer of programs and the first certified Piloxing instructor outside California; Dr. Juan Cespedes, who led the first Japanese Jujitsu program in Doral; and Mario Agnese, who taught the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in Doral.

Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense states that it is the area’s leader in tactical self defense, martial arts education for children, and fitness, and that it is an award-winning family-run and oriented martial arts, self defense and fitness center changing lives in the City of Doral (Miami) since 1998. The school describes Anta’s Martial Arts System as a unique blend of the world’s most effective martial arts styles, resulting in a well-rounded program of physical fitness, personal development, and reality-based self-defense. It has been serving Doral since 1998, and September 22, 2018 was proclaimed Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense 20th Anniversary Day.
