Camp Guaikinima offers a Sleepaway Program with overnight stays for children between 6 and 16 years old, oriented to having fun in contact with nature, and a Day Camp Program for children between 4 and 12 years old with activities very similar to the Sleepaway Camp program, adapted to the camper’s age and physical capacity. The camp offers bilingual Spanish/English programming, with all activities, interactions, instructions, and songs in both languages, and is described as the ideal camp for parents concerned about their children's Spanish language skills. Camp Guaikinima also offers a new English-only Day Camp program at Oleta River State Park and Special Programs including a CIT Program, Leadership Workshop, Family Weekend, and GuaikiFiestas.

The camp states that it promotes self-esteem, self-confidence, successful adaptation to multiple environments, respect for others, and love of nature in campers through adventure activities that promote healthy competition and provide stimulating and unforgettable experiences and valuable learning for their personal growth. The meaning of “Guaikinima” is stated as “IN SEARCH OF FREEDOM” in the Pemón dialect.
