Dancehouse Miami offers classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Ballroom, and Acrobatics. The program includes a free trial class in each style of dance and a free week of trial dance classes for new dancers. Dancehouse Miami uses state of the art floating floors with Marley sheet overlays.

Owner and Director Rochelle Fereira is a native of Miami whose training led to her acceptance into New World School of the Arts High School in Downtown Miami. By the end of her sophomore year, she joined the youth company of The School of Ballet Chicago, where she trained and performed before returning to Miami to intern with the Miami City Ballet School. She continued her training on a dance scholarship at Southern Methodist University from 2000–2003, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Meadows School of the Arts and performing at SMU and through Artec Worldwide on tours across the United States. After graduating, she worked as a dancer and instructor with FJM Productions and Celebrity Cruise Lines, performing four major productions with a schedule of two performances per day and later dancing in Greece for pop star Kurculis with six night performances a week. She returned to Miami to perform and travel with various production companies, dancing on several Univision shows and national commercials, and she established dance programs at Doral Academy Charter Middle School, Somerset Academy, and Sports Leadership and Magnet (SLAM). In 2008, she opened Miami Dance Theatre, where her students won awards in national competitions and were accepted into major dance programs throughout South Florida.
Dancehouse Miami states that “Dance is not a competition, it’s a passion and competitive level” and that it provides a solid dance foundation while helping each student discover strengths to reach personal potential, with the hope that students will look back on their experience as an important part of their life. The program notes that every dancer gets personalized, professional instruction and that dancers of all levels are welcomed and nurtured, with a positive and nurturing approach to teaching dance and entertainment with professionalism. Dancehouse is dedicated to developing talent at both the recreational and competitive level.
