About the provider
Freestyle Fighting Academy was founded in 2001 by Marcos Avellan and David Avellan and has taught mixed martial arts in Miami since 2001. The leadership team listed includes Marcos Avellan, David Avellan, Jason Soares, Chevenne Moreno, and Edgard Plazaola. The academy’s credentials include South Florida’s first MMA academy, Marcos Avellan’s 2005 ADCC US Trials championship, and David Avellan’s bronze medal at the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championships and creation of the Kimura Trap System.
Beginner-friendly. No experience needed for Adult MMA. For BJJ, beginners are always welcome and can start at their own pace.
