Little Village Child Care & Learning Center has been serving families since 2003. The center states that it is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn. The program is nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is a licensed child care provider. It participates in the School Readiness Program and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) through the Early Learning Coalition (ELC), and accepts government scholarships through the School Readiness Program (ELC), The Children’s Trust (TCT), the MDC-CCAMPIS Voucher Program, and Child Care Aware of America’s Military Fee Assistance Program. The program offers free VPK classes and is open on school breaks such as Teacher Planning Day, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Camp.

The center uses The Creative Curriculum and provides dedicated classrooms for every age group, with each age group having its own individual classroom. There are cameras in each classroom for careful observation and Observation Windows in classrooms. The facility includes a fenced playground away from all streets and an independent playground for infants-toddlers and preschoolers. Qualified teachers meet all state certification requirements, and the staff is highly trained in Early Childhood Education.

Enrollment requires immunization records, a physical exam, a copy of the child’s birth certificate, and a copy of the parent’s picture identification. A school uniform must be worn daily, and the uniform must be purchased at the office. All students are required to wear closed footwear, with no open-toed sandals or Crocs allowed, and jewelry should not be worn to school. Families are asked to label all belongings, send an extra change of clothing in a labeled Ziploc bag, and, for children in diapers or potty training, provide at least six training pants or diapers, a box of wipes, and diaper rash cream.

Parent feedback includes comments that the teachers and management are loving, clean, caring, and attentive, and that specific teachers such as Rachel, Daylet, and Ivonne are described as incredible and very affectionate. Other parents note that their children have been attending for several years, that they love the staff and activities, and that the center is beautiful and very clean.
