IMAGO POR LAS ARTES

IMAGO POR LAS ARTES offers the Miami Children’s Storytelling Festival for children ages 7 to 13, with a 10-week program that includes theater, writing, and art classes. It also offers the Children’s Illustrator Contest for children ages 4 to 12, the ENTRELIBROS Festival with illustrated books from Spain and Latin America, interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and musical performances, and the Theater Program, which covers acting techniques and stage production and ends with a play presented twice a year.

• Scholarships — Offers a 50% discount on enrollment in the comprehensive After School program for children with limited financial resources.

• Play Together — Program for amateur musicians to play music in an ensemble through collaborative learning and public performances.
• ENTRELIBROS Festival — Children's Book Festival in Spanish with illustrated books from Spain and Latin America, interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and musical performances.
• Theater Program — year-long program; culminates in the presentation of a play twice a year · Covers acting techniques and stage production for individuals without professional acting experience.
• IxLA 12 x 12 Collage International Juried Show — Visual arts show inviting emergent or established artists to explore collage.
• Acoustic Vibes — Program for emerging musicians to perform original music in a supportive and intimate setting.
• ENTRELIBROS Book Club — Once a month · Families gather at IMAGO to read together, talk, and create based on Spanish-language children's literature.

About the provider

IMAGO POR LAS ARTES is a non-profit, inclusive, and multicultural organization based in Miami, Florida. Its mission is to facilitate access to culture for people of all ages through artistic, educational, and recreational events and programs in art, theater, music, and literature, with emphasis on Hispanic culture. Its community involvement includes 10 scholarships awarded, over 240 children engaged in the Children’s Illustrator Contest, 24 children empowered through the Miami Children’s Storytelling Festival, 4 recitals by Play Together, and more than 20 Latin-American poets and 200+ enthusiasts at Noches de Poesía.
