Children and Youth Ministries (AWANA, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Wednesday Night Youth Group) includes Sunday School, AWANA, Vacation Bible School, Wednesday Night Youth Group, Bible study, Bible lessons, crafts, games, snacks, praise and worship, youth activities, and student leadership. AWANA is a Wednesday night program for kids during the school year and helps children read and study the Bible. During the summertime on Wednesday night, the program runs a Vacation Bible School for children in preschool through 5th grade, where kids have Bible lessons, crafts, games, and snacks based on a unique theme.

• Schedule: Options on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, and Wednesday evenings during the school year and summer
Sunday School meets at 9:15 AM and includes Sunday School for students and leaders. Wednesday Night Youth Group meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM for praise and worship, a relevant message, and time for students to build loving and authentic relationships with people in the church. Every teen is encouraged to complete devotions in their daily journals throughout the week and to come together on Sunday to discuss what they have studied.
Care for nursery and preschool is available during all regularly scheduled service times as part of the Preschool Ministry, which is for children from birth up to pre-kindergarten. All volunteers in the Preschool Ministry are screened, fingerprinted, and trained to care for the needs of preschoolers. Spanish translation is available for Morning Worship for those who need it.
The leadership team includes Dr. Marc Mortensen (Senior Pastor), Javier Vargas (Spanish Pastor), Marcus Mortensen (Family Pastor), Sean Fullerton (Pastor of Student Ministries), Micah Mortensen (Youth Pastor), and Eric Tindle (Minister of Music). Dr. Marc Mortensen has served the ministry for the past 48 years. As Youth Pastor, Micah Mortensen works with the teen ministry to teach students and strengthen them in their faith, and as music director, Eric Tindle works with lay musicians in the church to coordinate and lead music for regular and special services.
Student Leadership and other youth activities include service both inside and outside the church. The program’s community involvement includes opportunities for students to discover their gifts and abilities and use them to serve others.
