The academy’s mission is “Teaching Self-Confidence through Self-Defense Training,” and its programs are focused on cultivating strong values in students and giving them tools for lifelong success. The programs emphasize building confidence, learning focus, and establishing lifelong habits of physical fitness, and the philosophy is to teach realistic martial arts in a fun way. The school is built on the teaching of Bruce Lee, and it trains students to become universal martial artists as well as citizens of the world.
The leadership team includes GrandMaster Larry Tatum, Sensei Carol White, Sensei Eddie DeLaVega, and Sensei Sage Sweeny. Grandmaster Larry Tatum is a 10th degree black belt and is described as one of the most prominent and recognized martial artists in the world. White Tiger & Dragon Martial Arts in Coconut Grove offers programs to adults and kids from neighboring areas such as South Miami, Coral Gables, Brickell, and Miami Beach. The academy highlights qualified instructors, a modern facility, professional weekly deep cleaning, and hourly and daily disinfectant to kill most germs, and it offers a first class free when families join the mailing list.
