About
Handwriting Solutions offers individualized, one-on-one handwriting tutoring through a virtual one-on-one method. The program provides targeted handwriting assessment, ongoing handwriting tutoring, reading tutoring, spelling tutoring, and early learning tutoring sessions. Certified virtual tutors use evidence and research-based remediation techniques and cater their curriculum specifically for each child’s needs.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Based on assessment results, families can book individualized sessions on a monthly subscription basis.
Handwriting Solutions provides certified virtual tutors who are highly qualified and trained, with backgrounds in occupational therapy and education. The program uses individualized, strengths-based, and holistic approaches, including individualized, one-on-one handwriting tutoring using proven strategies in a creative yet rigorous way. A thorough handwriting assessment is available, which includes a written report and a follow-up interview; these assessments are not for diagnostic purposes but are used to develop individualized treatment intervention to support literacy success, and reports can be provided to a diagnostician or pediatrician to aid in determining a diagnosis. The program focuses on students who need an extra boost in handwriting or who have specific learning disorders, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and autism, and it offers virtual one-on-one, progress-oriented services for students from kindergarten to high school. Tutoring sessions include handwriting, reading, and spelling tutoring, and tutors also serve as educational consultants. Handwriting Solutions does not provide occupational therapy services but will provide a referral if more intensive, skilled services are needed. The program collaborates with the child’s teacher and other members of the child’s team.
