Pasco County Summer Day Camp

Pasco County Summer Day Camp includes Traditional Summer Day Camp, Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park Nature Camp, the CIT program for teens ages 13 to 17, and EPIC for ages 8 to 17 with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities. Traditional Summer Day Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with before care from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and after care from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weekly field trips are included in the camp price for the traditional camp, the nature camp, and EPIC.

Programs

• Traditional Summer Day Camp — Kids ages 5 to 12 who meet the following: use restroom without assistance; completed kindergarten; follow directions and perform routine daily tasks without one-on-one guidance; comfortable in a 17:1 camper-to-counselor ratio. · Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; before care 7:30 am - 8:30 am; after care 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm · $455–$665 per week · Weekly field trips are included. Before and after care is an additional $20 per week.
• Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park Nature Camp — Ages 7–12 · Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. · $1,050 per week · Weekly field trips are included in the camp price.
• CIT program — Teens ages 13–17
• EPIC — Ages 8–17 with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities. · $910 per week · An inclusive summer camp. Each site has an Inclusion Support Leader, and EPIC groups include an extra counselor, providing a 1:4 support ratio within a group of 17 campers.

About the provider

All Summer Day Camp participants must bring their own lunch and snack each day. Breakfast and lunch are only provided by the school board to Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park, James Irvin Civic Center, J. Ben Harrill Recreation Complex, and Veterans Memorial Park.
