Canter Down Farms was established in 1995 by owner and trainer Karen Knies. The site says Karen Knies has been riding horses for over 40 years. It also states that CDF is one of Volusia County's top show barns and mentions CDF horse shows, support for local shows, and a year-end banquet qualification for the 2026 horse show series.

24 Hour notice or a $25 fee will occur. More than two cancellations will result in the loss of a lesson in the package. Continuous no shows or rescheduling during peak hours will result in losing your spot during that time slot. No refunds on packages purchased. Camp: $75 deposit or full payment is required five days prior to attendance. Remaining balance due by the first day of camp. No refunds for cancellations within 5 days of camp. If a child is unable to attend a day of camp, a one time $25 discount for that day is offered.
