Jimmy Lane Surfing Academy

Jimmy Lane Surfing Academy offers Summer Surf Camp, where participants do a 3-hour daily program of surfing and ocean safety, with use of all equipment included. It also offers JLSA Prep Academy for ages 3-5, where children learn surfing basics in the Aqua Park pool, as well as private lessons, weekend lessons, group surf camp, private groups, school year sessions, and surf art.

• Summer Surf Camp — Ages 6 through 86 · Mon-Fri 9:30-12:30 · $85–$285 per week · 3-hour daily program of Surfing & Ocean Safety; includes use of all equipment. Day rate $85; 2 days $160; 3 days $235; weekly camp $285.
• JLSA Prep Academy — Ages 3-5 · Wed-Fri, 5:00-6:30 · Smallest groms can get prepared to join older siblings or friends in the regular camp. Learn surfing basics in the safety of the Aqua Park pool.
• Private Lessons — Beginners, adults, competitors · By appointment only; weekend lessons
• Group Surf Camp — June - July; all weekdays 9:30-12:30 · $85 per week · Includes a break and a 2nd surf session. Advance booking required.
• Weekend Lessons — 9:30 am - 10:45 am
• Private Groups — By appointment · $75–$80 · 3-30 participants; sliding scale discount offered. $75 at Sapphire Rd, $80 at your location.
• School Year — Fall and Spring · $55 · Small group settings; homeschool group or join in on some action already in progress.
• Surf Art — Message for a special class.

About the provider

Jimmy Lane Surfing Academy was established in 1985 and has partnered with the City of New Smyrna Beach's Leisure Services as its official summer surf camp for over 30 years. The program is led by owner and local mentor Jimmy Lane, a former World Tour Pro and Professional Competition Judge, with a team of experienced instructors. Its mission statement says, 'Learn to surf and be ocean smart. The ocean is our classroom, the coaches are your teachers, and the waves are our lessons. Everyone can learn to surf and be ocean smart.'

Advanced booking recommended. Confirm with payment required. Grouped by ages and skill level. Family surfing encouraged. Lessons are surf conditions permitting. No individual dates were added unless explicitly stated.
