About
Summer Music Camp & Conservatory includes activities such as a final concert, Silent Praise and Devotion, Music and Motion, and Music Theater. Concert participation is mandatory for all campers and volunteers. Space is limited and registration is based on a first-come, first serve basis, and special placement requests are not available.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: July 13–17, 2026, with daily sessions from 9:00am–1:00pm and a final concert on Friday, July 17 at 6:00pm
The program includes an Elementary Division for rising 2nd–4th graders, an Intermediate Division for rising 5th–7th graders, and a Conservatory for rising 8th–11th graders, as well as rising 7th graders with an additional recommendation letter. Volunteers include rising 12th graders, college students, and adults.
The leadership team includes General Director Jay Arnn and Assistant Director Kath Doerr. Music instruction and direction roles are held by staff such as Band Directors Chris Murray and Manny Camacho, Jazz Director Paul Destito, Assistant Band Director Wesley Thompson, Choir Directors Ashley Leland, Amanda Goldberg, and Katie Kovalsky, Strings Director Antonio Rincon, ORFF Director Kristina Arnn, and Music Theater leader Molly Shippy. Additional staff include specialists for flute, trumpet, horn, percussion, theory and composition, accompanists, Silent Praise and Devotion, and Music and Motion. Staff credentials include school band and choir directors, church music staff, retired music educators, a dance and drama teacher, the owner of a music academy, and a former Disney Cruise Lines performer.
The mission statement of the host organization is “Equipping people to pursue and share gospel-driven lives.” First Presbyterian Church is a member congregation in the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians (ECO).
