The Children's Corner

The Children's Corner offers infant care with routines tailored to feeding or sleeping rhythms, toddler care that focuses on early literacy and math, motor skills, social interaction, communication, independence, and self-help skills, preschool, Voluntary Pre-K, after school care, and summer camp. The program also lists modern toys, large bright rooms, a play and sports ground, tasty and healthy food, and a fenced area.

Programs

• Infant — 18 months and up to 6th grade; infants · Warm and nurturing environment; personalized attention; sensory exploration, early motor skills, and cognitive growth.
• Toddler — 18 months or older by September 1st and able to walk · Focus on early literacy and math, motor skills, social interaction, communication, independence, and self-help skills.
• Preschool — Designed to meet the growing curiosity and developmental needs of young preschoolers.
• Voluntary Pre-K — State program designed to prepare every child for kindergarten and build the foundation for educational success.
• After School — school-age children; 18 months and up to 6th grade · Safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children to unwind, socialize, and engage in exciting activities.
• Summer Camp — Welcoming space where children can relax, recharge, and pursue their interests.

About the provider

The program is led by Nikki Roberts, Director, and Jalah Millien, Assistant Director. Nikki Roberts says she has worked with children for 29 years, and Jalah Millien says she has worked in education for the past six years. The mission is to embrace the pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom. The staff includes experienced teachers with varying backgrounds, and some have, or are working on, a college degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Jalah Millien earned a degree in Early Childhood Management.

Open Monday-Friday. Offers flexible day care for children when needed. Families can schedule a tour. The school welcomes children aged 18 months and up to 6th grade for some programs. Infants receive routines tailored to feeding or sleeping rhythms. Open communication with families is emphasized.
