Elite Animation Academy was established in 2012. The program director is Todd West, and one of the lead instructors is Woody Woodman, a former Disney animator who worked on films including Mulan, Tarzan, and Brother Bear. Courses and camps are taught by former Disney animators and Disney veteran instructors with over five decades of combined experience at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Marvel, and other major movie studios. The academy describes its mission as being a premier destination for aspiring animators of all ages, guided by instructors from Walt Disney Feature Animation, Marvel, and top studios.

Elite Animation Academy reports 14+ partner art schools nationwide and a combined 50+ years of industry experience among instructors, and it has been featured on Spectrum News 13 Orlando’s “On the Town” with Allison Walker Torres. The academy is a Step Up Provider for scholarships and offers a course road map with 21 courses and 5 career paths, including Foundation Path, Character Concept Art, and Digital Animation & 3D. Many offerings welcome all ages and skill levels, and summer camps welcome ages 8–17, with 13 distinct camp subjects and 40 unique camps organized into 13 professional tracks. Students select one subject per week and can stack multiple weeks without repeating subjects across the 10-week summer, and a camp planner tool called Pip’s camp planner is available to map out the 10 weeks.

Parent and student reviews mention Anime-Manga, 2D animation, video editing, and Foundational Drawing camps and classes, including both in-studio and online options. Multiple parents describe their children looking forward to attending each day, enjoying teachers such as Sophia and Mr. Woodman, and continuing with additional camps or classes after an initial week-long camp. One parent notes that their child attended video editing and foundational drawing during summer break, and another parent reports that their child’s interest in art after a summer camp at Elite Animation Academy was followed by enrollment in a graphic design program in college. A long-term student review mentions attending for three years, taking four classes, and learning from multiple teachers at Elite Animation Academy.
