About

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida offers Power Hour after school, with a quiet place and support from trained, caring staff for homework. It also offers diplomas2Degrees for middle school members, College Access with one-on-one case management, test preparation, college field trips, and scholarship opportunities, and Career Launch for teens ages 13 to 18. Additional programs include Money Matters, STEM Programming, Torch Club, Be a STAR, Triple Play, ALL STARS, Keystone Club, and Youth of the Year.

  • diplomas2Degrees — middle school members · Primarily a college readiness program that provides services to guide Club members toward high school graduation and prepare them for post-secondary education and career success.
  • College Access — teens · Individualized college prep with one-on-one case management, test preparation, college field trips, and access to scholarship opportunities.
  • Career Launch — Club teens 13-18 years old · Prepares teens for careers and work by helping them explore vocations, make educational decisions, and learn professional behavior.
  • Money Matters — teens · Promotes financial responsibility and independence through budgeting, saving, investing, and related skills.
  • STEM Programming — youth · Innovative and creative programs, activity ideas and resources to close the opportunity gap in STEM.
  • Youth of the Year — high school member · Premier recognition program to foster a new generation of leaders.
  • Keystone Club — teens ages 14 to 18 · Signature leadership program with activities in academic success, career preparation, and community service.
  • Torch Club — boys and girls ages 11 to 13 · Chartered leadership and service club where members elect officers and work together to carry out activities.
  • Be a STAR — age 11-13 · Bullying prevention initiative focused on social and emotional learning.
  • Triple Play — all youth · Comprehensive health and wellness program with Mind, Body and Soul components.
  • ALL STARS — 6-18 yrs · High-quality organized flag football, basketball, and soccer programs.

About the provider

The program’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring adults. All of the Clubs welcome members ages 6 to 18, and fees and availability vary by Club. Club families pay either nothing or a nominal fee for their children to attend.
