After School Zone & Summer Zone (Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida – Middle School Programs) offers daily academic enrichment, character leadership and fun learning opportunities, along with engaging programming and recreational activities. The program also offers a place for middle school students to spend time with friends during the school year and summer.
• Ages: 11–14 years old
• Schedule: Summer Zone runs Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., from June 1 to July 23
• Price: Summer Zone is FREE thanks to funding from the Orange County Government
The mission of Zone is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. A late fee of $1.00 per minute is charged if a child is picked up after hours of operation. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida After School Zone is funded by a grant from the Orange County Government. The middle school programs are led by Director of Middle School Programs Kelvin Curry, Assistant Director Michelle Ramos, Program Services Coordinator Rachel Geib, and site coordinators at multiple middle schools.
