SECME was a strategic alliance partnering schools, universities, industry, and government to renew and strengthen the professional capacity of K-12 educators, motivate and mentor students, and empower parents and communities so that all young people could learn and achieve at higher levels. The programs include AI Summer Camp for rising 8th grade students, Camp Connect with exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, GLAMPing for rising 6th and 7th grade students, Summer Institutes focused on AI, robotics, entrepreneurship, computer science, and mathematics, Laser & Photonics Camp for rising 10th–12th graders, and the Health Leaders Summer Academy for high school students in grades 10–12. The Health Leaders Summer Academy focuses on students with a strong interest in allied health sciences or medicine, with a goal of supporting students, particularly those from low-income and first-generation in college families, to plan future educational goals and connect with healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds and specialties.
