Summerland Camps

Summerland Camps offers a variety of activities including surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, mountain biking, fishing, hiking, camping, and gourmet campfire cuisine. Participants can also enjoy archery, paddling, board games, card games, role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, cornhole, airboat rides, and banana boat rides.

Summerland Camps is in its 8th continuous year of successful operation. The program is led by Dr. Mike Bishop, the founder, and staffed by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) with backgrounds in adventure sports and child development. The mission of Summerland Camps is to prepare adolescents and teens to live in a world surrounded by screen-based activities, reconnecting young people to life. According to testimonials, 94% of parents said they would recommend the Summerland Program to a friend, and 90% noticed a positive difference in their child after attending. The camp features unique elements such as a limited enrollment of 12 participants or fewer per session, an exceptional staff ratio of approximately 1:2, and special events like the Knighting Ceremony and Decision Night.
