Dawson Dance Academy offers dance and theatre classes, dance teams, and summer programs that include dance, crafts, and fun activities. The program holds one recital a year on a Broadway-style stage and includes one dress rehearsal with a photo session.

All programs at Dawson Dance Academy are overseen year-round by a Florida certified teacher K-12 and a Behavioral Specialist certified in Florida. The program states that its goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn the foundation of dance and how it can benefit their health while having fun. For safety, there is a required uniform to participate in dance programs, and all uniforms must be purchased from the uniform store and are shipped directly to the family’s doorstep in about a week. The academy uses Spot-TV in every studio and classroom, and this service is included in tuition so families can watch their dancer in class from anywhere with wifi. The program has an in-house uniform store and an online store to get uniforms for the new dance year, along with an easy-to-use online registration system. There are no ticket number requirements, no hair changes, and no makeup changes for recitals, and the recital is scheduled to last 2 hours with a dress rehearsal that is planned to last no more than an hour.
Parents and dancers have shared feedback such as “Great recital! Thank you for a wonderful year!” from a dance dad, and a tween dancer who said, “I had so much fun and all of the dances were amazing!” Several dance moms commented that the recital ran smoothly backstage and that the entire recital was amazing.
