Dawson Dance Academy

Dawson Dance Academy offers dance classes, theatre classes, and dance teams. The program holds classes in four state-of-the-art classrooms.

All programs at Dawson Dance Academy are overseen year-round by a Florida certified teacher K–12 and a Behavioral Specialist certified in Florida, and the studio is female owned. The stated goal of the program is to create a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn the foundation of dance and how it can benefit their health while having fun. For safety, there is a required uniform to participate in the dance programs, and all uniforms are purchased through an online uniform store and shipped directly to each family’s home in about a week. The academy offers one recital a year, with one dress rehearsal that includes a photo session lasting no more than an hour, and one recital on a Broadway stage in town that lasts about two hours, with no ticket number requirements and no hair or makeup changes. Dawson Dance Academy uses Spot-TV in every studio so families can watch dancers in class from anywhere with wifi, and this service is included in tuition. Registration is handled through an online system, and the academy serves families in Tampa, Westchase, Palm Harbor, East Lake, Lutz, Odessa, and Oldsmar.
