About
Discover Day Camp includes swimming, waterslides, miniature golf, ping-pong, and ice skating. Campers also take part in academic games and activities that are matched to their grade level, and some activities focus on science, technology, engineering, or mathematics skills.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Weekly sessions June 1–July 31, with options to enroll for a week, a month, or the entire summer; the week of July 4 meets Monday–Thursday, June 29–July 2; extended care is offered until 5:30 p.m.
• Price: Both the camp fee and extended care fee are discounted for the week of July 4 (June 29–July 2).
A summer of exploration and discovery is offered for ages 6–12 and for 5-year-olds who have already completed K5. Leaders supervise campers at every activity. For camper security, anyone picking up a camper, including parents or legal guardians, must present a photo ID.
Camp directors, the camp nurse, chapel speakers, and leaders are students and staff from Pensacola Christian College and staff from Pensacola Christian Academy, and each staff member goes through training before camp begins. Bible truths are taught to lead youth to a knowledge of Christ, based on the belief that the Bible gives the best light for this life and the only hope for the life to come, and that no other book can enrich the minds and hearts of young people like the Bible.
