Sports Center Day Camp offers activities that include swimming, waterslides, and ice skating. Leaders supervise campers at every activity and lead academic games and activities throughout the day. For camper security, the program requires a photo ID from anyone picking up campers, including parents or legal guardians.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Weekly sessions June 1–August 14, with enrollment options by week, by month, or for the entire summer; the week of July 4 meets Monday–Thursday, June 29–July 2; extended care is offered until 5:30 p.m.
Camp directors, the camp nurse, chapel speakers, and leaders are students and staff from Pensacola Christian College and staff from Pensacola Christian Academy, and each staff member completes training before camp begins. Bible truths are taught to lead youth to a knowledge of Christ, based on the belief that the Bible gives the best light for this life and the only hope for the life to come, and that no other book can so enrich the minds and hearts of young people like the Bible. Parents have shared that their children “adored” their week at day camp, “very much enjoyed camp this summer,” “loved it,” and “had such a great time this summer,” including one parent who described it as “one of the best camps we have attended.”
