The program uses SproutAbout, an exclusive family app that provides free live streaming video of the child’s classroom and real-time updates. It offers a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) free daily 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. More than half of the teachers have more than five years of teaching experience, and all teachers receive monthly training as well as ongoing training provided by the state. The staff includes long-term team members who are dedicated to children and families, and the program maintains an open-door policy for anyone who would like to talk.

The leadership team includes Director Philisa Caples, Assistant Director Allison LoBello, and Team Lead Barbara Brown. Philisa Caples’ education includes Early Childhood Program Administration, a Child Development Associate, and a Technical College Credential, along with a 45 Hour Director Certificate. Allison LoBello holds a Bachelor’s degree in Adolescence Education and a CDA. Barbara Brown’s education includes an FCCPC, and her certifications include a Director’s Credential, CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety, and a CDA.

The stated mission is that everyone involved is treated like an extension of the staff’s own families, with a warm and welcoming environment and an open-door policy. La Petite Academy of Pensacola is accredited and has been recognized as a high-quality early education program.
