David Ensignia Tennis Academy offers tennis programs that include stroke work, match play strategy, and a high performance program. Players can take part in tennis camps, match play days, and USTA tournaments, as well as preparation for four professional Future tournaments and junior national tournaments in the United States such as Eddie Herr and the Orange Bowl tournament. The academy also offers a children’s program with racquet awareness, proper technique, hand-eye coordination through fun games, and pickleball.

• Schedule: Program options available Monday to Friday with hours between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays with hours between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm
The David Ensignia Tennis Academy states that its program is custom designed to meet the tennis player’s optimal potential and to prepare players for the challenges they will face on the road to success. The academy uses a multidisciplinary routine as the foundation for its high performance training, with a focus on technique, endurance, physical training and conditioning, mental strength, and competition.
The leadership team includes Director and Founder David Ensignia Sr., Director of High Performance and Founder David Ensignia Jr., Head Coach Continental Tennis Center Rodrigo Espejo, Head Coach Miccosukee Golf & Country Club Alejandro Conejeros, and Head Coach Archimedean Academy Carlos Aya. The professional staff includes coaching staff, physical trainers, and psychologists. David Ensignia Sr. has over forty years of coaching experience with high performance players, has served as the Venezuelan representative for ITF tournaments in South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe, and is a USPTR and ITF certified professional coach. David Ensignia Jr. played at the collegiate level for Southern University and served as team captain for his last two years. Rodrigo Espejo has more than 20 years of international experience, holds a degree in Physical Education & Sports Conditioning from Universidad Católica del Maule, and is a PTR & PPR Certified Coach in tennis and pickleball. Alejandro Conejeros has over 20 years of experience in tennis coaching and sports management, holds a degree in Physical Education, a diploma in Strategic Sports Management, and certifications from ITF (Level 1 & 2), PTR, and PPR. Carlos Aya has over 15 years of experience in physical education, youth development, and competitive training, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports with a Specialization in Motor Action from the University of Los Llanos in Colombia, and holds PTR Level 1 (Aug 2024), CPR (2021), Sports Management & Legislation Training (2019), and National Officiating Course credentials.
The academy notes a newly renovated Miccosukee Golf & Country Club location and multiple locations in Miami, including West Kendall, Pinecrest, Kendall, and East Kendall. Community partnerships include Miccosukee Golf & Country Club, Coral Pine Park, Continental Tennis Center, and Archimedean Academy.
