For more than 25 years, the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center has served families in north Pinellas County. Its mission is to nurture and strengthen children, youth, adults, families and communities through education, support services and collaborative partnerships to improve people’s lives and help them achieve self-sufficiency. The Center provides support services for families and children living in Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, and eastern Clearwater, with clients residing in zip codes 34695, 34677, 33759, and 33761, and offers assistance and connections to other local resources for those who live outside this area. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors, and this institution is an equal opportunity provider. The Center offers wraparound assistance and resources, weekly and emergency food choice options by curbside pick-up or delivery, and clothing and shoes for all ages at no cost. One hundred percent of monetary donations benefit the programs, and a staff of 20 is complemented by more than 40 regular volunteers.
