Ringling College PreCollege is a four-week intensive art and design summer program where students take core classes in 2D Design, 3D Design, 4D Design, and Drawing. Students also choose immersions such as 2D Motion Graphics, Computer Animation: 3D Animation, Creative Coding for Artists and Designers, Creative Writing: Stories and Scripts, Film: Production, Game Design, Traditional Animation, and Virtual Reality Development. The program includes mini-workshops, Friday Explorations, Open Studio time, access to the library, fitness and recreation options, and wellness and community service activities.

• Price: Residential Program Total: $7,480. Commuter Program Total: $5,345. Tuition Total: $4,650. Application Fee: $55 due at application. Tuition Deposit: $500 due upon acceptance. Tuition Remainder: $4,095 due May 10. Residential Fees: Room $1,215, Board (81 meals) $1,315, Refundable Damage Deposit $300, Residential Fee Total $2,830 due May 10. Commuter Fees: Must live within 35 miles of campus, Board (37 meals) $545, Refundable Damage Deposit $150, Commuter Fee Total $695 due May 10. Additional Fees: Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) 4-week coverage $200 for international students and those requiring or electing SHIP, due May 10, 2026.
Ringling College PreCollege is for emerging artists and designers who are currently in their sophomore, junior, or senior year in high school and are between 16 and 18 years of age as of October 15 of the program year. The curriculum includes a robust set of core classes for fundamental skill building and two selected immersions that reflect the College’s degree programs. Students receive hands-on instruction from world-class faculty and have studio time to develop as artists and strengthen portfolios for college admissions and scholarships.
The program offers a co-curricular series of mini-workshops that broaden students’ introduction to a variety of creative practices and techniques. Student and Residence Life teams provide wellness, recreational, and community service activities throughout the program. All students must provide current proof of health insurance to attend PreCollege, and international students and those requiring or electing to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan will be billed $200.
Immersions are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and immersion enrollment is secured upon receipt of the Program Deposit due upon acceptance. The application opens November 1 the year before the summer program and closes May 1 or when the program is full, whichever comes first. Ringling College of Art and Design states that its mission is to educate students, its community, and the world to understand art and creativity as essential dimensions to life.
