The Sarasota Ballet School

Founded in 1987, The Sarasota Ballet started as a presenting organization with the goal of becoming a full resident ballet company. Its mission is to enrich lives, captivate emotions, and strengthen the community through the art of dance, and to infuse the community with what it describes as the highest quality and diversity of dance in America. The organization has garnered a national and international reputation for its diverse repertoire of rarely performed ballets and the integrity and artistry of its performances. Community Engagement’s Programs are The Sarasota Ballet’s initiatives to broaden opportunities for all to experience dance, and the organization states that it welcomes audiences of all abilities to attend its performances and events.
