Highlands County YMCA Youth Programs include youth sports, one-on-one swimming lessons, group exercise classes, an after school program, childcare, and personal training. The program offers one-on-one swimming lessons for all ages and an extensive list of group exercise classes. The after school program at Highlands County YMCA is available for ages 5–12, and the KidZone is available for children 6 months–12 years old while a parent remains in the facility.

• Schedule: Gym, pool, and KidZone hours available throughout the week, including morning, daytime, and evening options
The KidZone is available Monday–Friday from 8:30AM–12:30PM and 4:00PM–8:00PM, on Saturday from 8:00AM–12:00PM, and is closed on Sunday. The gym is open Monday–Thursday from 5:00AM–9:00PM, Friday from 5:00AM–8:00PM, Saturday from 8:00AM–5:00PM, and Sunday from 11:00AM–5:00PM. The pool schedule runs Monday–Friday from 6:00AM–7:30PM, Saturday from 8:00AM–4:00PM, and Sunday from 11:00AM–4:00PM, and the pool is currently closed for maintenance. The program includes access to certified personal trainers. The stated mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Highlands County YMCA is a partner with The United Way of Central Florida.
