SAYC Sailing Center Sail Camp

SAYC Sailing Center Sail Camp offers Sail Camp for ages 8-17. Children learn to sail on SailCube, Optimist, 420 and Laser sailboats, and also sail on multi-hull Hobie Cats and a Flying Scot.

About the provider

The program has offered on-water instruction to local youth since 2012. It is led by US Sailing Certified Sailing Instructors. The program has reached over 3,600 local youth since it started in 2012, and scholarships are available, with over $15,000 given each year.

Sail Camp participation is required to try out for race team participation and new sailors are only accepted each fall. Multiple weeks required. Classes are divided by age and skill ability with multi-week discounts and scholarships available. All Sail Camp and Adventure Camp programs have a limit of 8 slots available. Keelboat and Little Skippers have a limit of 6. Registration for all programs closes 5 days before each new week starts.
