Glenda's Dance Center Camps and Classes

Glenda's Dance Center Camps and Classes offers dance classes in Acrobatics, Ballet, Combo, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Pointe, and Tap. The program also offers Summer Dance Camps, Mini-Dance Camps, a Tumbling Camp, a Glow In The Dark Dance Camp, themed camps such as Bluey, Moana, Inside Out, Disney, Barbie, and Wicked Dance Camps, and activities that include games, crafts, dancing, expressive dancing, musical games, creating enhanced crafts, whimsical games, and a short performance. Campers in the Summer Dance Camp work on skills, strength and flexibility and learn hip hop moves, and each camper in this camp takes home a souvenir camp t-shirt.

• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: Summer Dance Camp 2025 runs one week, July 21–25 (Monday–Friday) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Mini-Dance Camps in 2025 are offered as 2-hour sessions on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
• Price: Summer Dance Camp 2025 is $100 per week; each 2025 Mini-Dance Camp, including Tumbling, Glow In The Dark, Bluey, Moana, Inside Out, Disney, Barbie, and Wicked Dance Camps, is $35 per dancer; the company fee for the Love To Dance (LTD) Dance Company is $10 per month added to tuition from September through May.

Glenda's Dance Center is described as an award-winning, family-oriented dance studio that has been in the St. Cloud area for the past 30 years, with over 400 dancers currently enrolled and over 40 dancers having competed in recent competitions. All of the instructors are professionally trained, and the studio’s dancers have entertained and danced at Disney for over 30 years. The mission of Glenda's Dance Center states that it is dedicated to encouraging, supporting, guiding and developing dance as a means of positive human experiences in its students, with a philosophy of providing dance instruction in an atmosphere of professionalism, mutual respect, fun, encouragement and innovation, and a goal to offer a comprehensive dance program that enhances “the love of dance” and instills self-esteem, discipline, goal setting, lasting friendships, social graces, and confidence. Summer Dance Camp includes classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Acrobatics, plus games and crafts, and tuition for camps is not due until camp time, with space described as limited. Summer Dance Camps are open to anyone, and dancers do not have to be registered dancers at Glenda's Dance Center to attend, and there is one main Summer Dance Camp and several Mini-Dance Camps with different ages for the camps and intensives. For Summer Dance Camp, dancers are asked to wear loose shorts and a shirt or dancewear, with dance shoes optional, and to bring water and a few snacks, and campers are given a few breaks each day between activities; for Bluey, Disney, and Barbie Dance Camps, dancers are asked to bring a drink and a snack. Glow In The Dark Dance Camp features dancing under blacklight with neon clothing, and Wicked Dance Camp 2025 is inspired by a magical film and includes gravity-defying choreography.

Love To Dance (LTD) is the performing and competition team at Glenda's Dance Center, and all LTD dancers must be enrolled in a Ballet class. Each LTD member is required to purchase a GDC jumpsuit and other items as necessary for their dances, and leotards and tights, in any color and style, are to be worn at every LTD rehearsal, with clothes allowed over top. Notebooks or videos are required at every LTD rehearsal.
