Mason's School of Music, Dance, and Arts After School Summer Camps

Mason's School of Music, Dance, and Arts After School Summer Camps offer full day and half day summer camps that include music, dance, drama, and art. Campers take part in activities such as learning songs and dances, painting backdrops, learning lines, and producing a show on Friday for family and friends. Other camps focus on playing instruments like guitar, piano, drums, recorder, and other instruments, as well as singing and dancing to favorite movie songs, singing favorite pop songs, drumming, movement, and hands-on percussion activities, with options for individual and group guitar playing that include note reading, chord reading, and basic music theory.

• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Camps run in 5-day sessions, Monday–Friday, with all day camps and Hands on Instruments camps meeting 8:15am–5:30pm and an Introduction to Guitar half day camp meeting 12:30pm–3:30pm on listed weeks.
• Price: Arts Adventures and Hands on Instruments camps cost $210 per week ($190 per sibling), and Introduction to Guitar half day camps cost $130 per child ($120 per sibling), with a $315 full day option when combined with a full day camp; before care and after care each cost $25 per week, and a $20 deposit per camper, per camp or full payment is due at registration.

Mason's School of Music, Dance and Arts After School offers Arts Adventures all day camps, Hands on Instruments all day camps, and Introduction to Guitar half day camps, and half day camps can be combined with all day camps to make a full day camp and to combine different interests in the same week. Movie Music Magic camps focus on favorite movie songs with singing, dancing, and playing instruments, Pop Party camps focus on today’s popular music with singing and percussion instruments, Jungle Beats camps focus on drumming and percussion inspired by the sounds of the jungle, and Introduction to Guitar camps are for beginning to intermediate guitar students with individual and group playing. Campers in all day Arts Adventures and Hands on Instruments camps bring a lunch and two snacks each day and stay on site for the entire camp, and students in Introduction to Guitar camps bring a snack each day, with a reduced rate offered for doing multiple camps in one week when combining with half day camps.

Mason's School of Music, Dance and Arts After School is owned by Ruth and David Mason and is described as Tallahassee's oldest music and dance school owned by the same owners for 26 years, offering its 27th year of summer camps. The program is a two-time Tally Award winner, and it is enrolling for Summer 2026 camps. One parent wrote that their child enjoyed a week of camp and a performance even after feeling nervous, and another parent wrote that their child really loved being at the camp and planned to return the next year.
