AMIkids Programs & Services offers a holistic approach that combines education, workforce development, treatment, and behavior and skills training. The program includes experiential education with unique adventures and marine education that provides an immersive journey into marine biology and oceanography. Its programs and services are organized into community-based programs, residential programs, program enhancements, and service coordination, all connected through the AMIkids Personal Growth Model, which ties together education and workforce development, treatment, and behavior and skills training. With nearly 50 programs nationwide and a stated proven success rate, AMIkids Programs & Services focuses on empowering young people to believe in themselves and achieve success.
For more than 55 years, AMIkids has empowered over 172,000 young people across the country by guiding young minds and fostering confidence and a belief in success, and for more than 55 years it has also reported empowering 160,000+ young people across the country by helping them discover their full potential and guiding them on their paths to a positive future. AMIkids describes its mission as empowering young people to discover their true potential and states that it is a national youth-serving organization empowering young people to discover their life paths and believe success is possible. The organization states that it believes in the power of transformation and that every young person has the potential for greatness.
AMIkids provides regional service coordination for the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice as part of that department’s transformation initiative, working with local or state agencies to develop and manage a continuum of community-based and residential services from subcontracted direct service providers.
