Carrollwood Black Belt Academy

Carrollwood Black Belt Academy offers Tae Kwon Do classes that include forms, sparring, weapons, musical forms, weapons forms, and fighting scenes. The program also offers fun and educational field trips as part of its activities. Students can participate in a Demo Team with musical and weapons forms and fighting scenes, and a Competition Team where they train in forms, sparring, and weapons.

Carrollwood Black Belt Academy has been a Tae Kwon Do martial arts center in the Tampa Bay Area since 1999 and is described as one of the first daycare After-School Martial Arts and Martial Arts After-School Tae Kwon Do programs established in the Tampa Bay area. It is described as a 7000 sq ft Tae Kwon Do martial arts center and as one of the most advanced training 7000 sq ft Tae Kwon Do martial arts centers in the Tampa Bay Area, with over 22 years of educational excellence. The program includes Little Dragons classes for 4 to 6 year olds, a Young Warriors program for beginner, intermediate, or advanced youth, and Adult & Family classes, with classes for all ages and no contract, and the first class is free. The daycare Martial Arts-School program features safety, convenience, expert training, fun activities, and an after-school program open until 6:30 p.m., and students are escorted and transported from several elementary schools. Carrollwood Black Belt Academy is led by Sensei Miranda.

Carrollwood Black Belt Academy is described as a traditional school where students must earn their belts, are only promoted twice a year, must meet a minimum age requirement for testing, and must be 16 years old before they are eligible for their black belt. The program also offers spring and summer camps that include Tae Kwon Do classes plus fun and educational field trips.

Parents describe the school as having superb instruction and teaching discipline, and note that children must earn their belts through hard work and are not simply given them.
