About
YMCA Summer Camp takes place within a full-service YMCA setting that includes day camp, youth enrichment, teen programs, and adaptive programs. Campers have access to amenities such as a gymnasium, playground, indoor and outdoor pools, a family pool and splash pad, Kids Zone, community garden, and tennis, pickleball, and racquetball/handball courts. The program is part of a facility that also offers swim lessons, strength and cardio equipment, group exercise classes, an indoor and outdoor track, and areas such as a hot tub, sauna, and steam room.

In its school-age programs, the YMCA recognizes the strength of diversity and makes every reasonable accommodation for all children’s success, and very openly welcomes third-party paraprofessionals and behavioral therapists to accompany children in programs. Membership includes access to all 10 YMCA locations in Southwest Florida, special rates on summer camp and other programs, and two hours of childcare free each day while an adult works out. Teen leadership opportunities such as Youth in Government and Gymnastics are also offered.
Parent and member feedback includes comments about moving “so flawlessly in the water” during aquatic activities, seeing “a familiar smiling face” when entering the YMCA, and feeling confident that YMCA workouts and support make it possible to set and reach new fitness goals.
