About

The Goddard School of Wellington offers a play-based curriculum with a range of enrichment programs that include American Sign Language, Spanish as a Second Language, music appreciation, art history, dance, chess, robotics, engineering, handwriting, learning technologies, and world culture. Children participate in physical fitness, sports mix, sports and fitness, yoga and mindfulness, and use playgrounds and a STEAM cart/computer lab as part of the program. The school uses the Wonder of Learning education program and inquiry-based learning through play.

The Goddard School of Wellington features finger guards, outdoor security cameras, a disinfectant sprayer, EPA-approved cleaning products, a gate alarm, key fobs, and a water filtration system, as well as catering, flexible lunch options, and the ability to order food. The school notes low ratios and the use of tablets, and it participates in a state pre-K program. The Goddard School is nationally accredited by Cognia and is recognized by Child Care Aware. The Goddard School of Wellington is currently under new ownership and is rebranding the facility to show a love for family values and education.

The school is owned by Mauricio and Anita Chmelnik, who are also the owners of The Goddard School of Miramar, and Mauricio is referred to as the owner operator. For the past 16 years, Mauricio and Anita Chmelnik have successfully operated the Miramar school. Their mission is to nurture not only academic growth but also social and emotional development, creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel happy and at home.

Parent feedback includes comments that children are excited to walk into school, eager to share about their day, and that parents have noticed advancements in cognitive abilities and social skills, crediting the staff and leadership. Parents describe teachers as hands-on, involved, and excited to see their children, and they describe the school as organized and clean. Several parents state that they feel their children are in a safe environment, that the school feels like an extension of their family, and that staff are friendly, caring, and know their children by name. One parent notes that doctors have noticed their child’s development and were surprised, and another shares that their child has blossomed, had natural intelligence and abilities nurtured, and will be prepared for kindergarten.
