The mission of Conductive Education Center of Orlando Youth Programs is to provide innovative programs for lifelong learning and development that transform lives utilizing conductive education that integrates physical, cognitive, and social skills. The program uses a holistic approach that combines physical and cognitive learning through active participation and repetition, with extra emphasis on teaching communication competency. It features a low student-to-staff ratio in all programs and tailors programs to each individual’s needs, including incorporating a student’s assistive technology into their program. Conductive education at this program integrates an intensive and motivating approach to the development of multiple skill areas, and CECO teaches essential academic and daily life skills. According to the program’s description, individuals that come through the programs build confidence while becoming self-reliant to the best of their ability, and by teaching self-care and problem-solving skills with a positive attitude, individuals with special needs learn to do what was thought impossible. The organization states that it is committed to helping maximize the potential of all individuals, build independence, and provide lifelong learning in a social and inclusive community of support.

One parent testimonial states that in one school year, Cooper’s family has seen “unbelievable progress,” including more communication, learning, improvement in behavior, eating entire meals with utensils, taking a few independent steps, and a difference in his confidence, and that Cooper “loves school more than ever,” is “all smiles” at drop-off, and “never wants to leave,” with the parent describing the decision to move him to CECO as “the best decision we have ever made.”
