Peak Performance Swim Camp offers swim training through swim camps, swim clinics, and Learn to Swim programs, along with virtual and personal coaching. The program also includes open water swim events, triathlon training, dry-land training, and yoga as part of its activities.

Peak Performance Swim Camp’s mission is to maximize swimming potential through a holistic training approach that focuses on mental, technical, and physical conditioning. The camp uses a positive coaching style, emphasizes an uplifting and stimulating learning environment, recognizes achievements, treats every swimmer with respect regardless of skill level, provides unconditional support, rewards effort regardless of outcome, enhances self-esteem, provides quality coaching at all levels, and creates an environment where success is more the rule rather than the exception.
Coaches at Peak Performance Swim Camp have an average of 25 years of professional experience from across the country and abroad, follow a holistic training philosophy, endorse the camp’s mission statement, participate in the PEAK Your Knowledge Continuing Education program, and have completed Red Cross safety training. Most camps have an eight swimmer to one coach ratio, include personal time within each practice for individual feedback, and offer a daily wrap-up session. The camp has an open-door policy for parents to observe every practice and a referral program that offers camp credit for referring new registered campers. Peak Performance Swim Camp also offers virtual coaching and personalized training at home from Olympic Coach Nick Baker and runs camps and clinics across 18 countries in partnership with NIKE-US Sports Camps.
Coach Nick Baker is the founder, Head Coach, and an Olympic Coach with more than 50 years of coaching experience, has led over 500 swim camps and clinics across 18 countries, trained more than 20,000 swimmers worldwide, served as a 1992 Olympic Coach, authored ten swimming books, and serves as Director and Head Coach at over 500 PEAK Swim Camps and Clinics. The leadership team includes Nick Baker as Founder, Head Coach, and Olympic Coach, and Rick Wheeler as Peak Performance Swim Camp Business Manager. Coach Baker’s holistic approach began in 1972, he has been a professional camp and private coach since 1993, and he has served as Founder and Head Coach of Peak Performance Swim Camp since 1996. In 2007, Peak Performance Swim Camp formed a partnership with NIKE-US Sports Camps, and in 2025 the camp hosted more than 40 swim camps worldwide and welcomed more than 1,500 swimmers from 45 countries, with its history referenced as “30 years of PEAK.”
The coaching staff includes Dennis Munson, who has 48 years of professional swim coaching experience, has coached at junior and senior national levels, coached a future 3-time Olympic gold medalist, worked as a swim instructor and aquatics director for 40 years, served as Head Coach of the Marlins Swim Team and U.S. Masters Swimming, was named High School Sectional Coach-of-the-Year, and had a Learn to Swim program renamed the “Dennis Munson Aquatic Program” in recognition of 35 years of service. Larry Jukes is Head Coach of the CRCY Barracudas Swim Team, has a 15-year professional swim coaching career, has qualified swimmers to state and junior national levels, coached a swimmer who qualified for the 2012 World Swimming Championships and won multiple gold medals at the Central American Games, was a Top 16 ranked 100-yard freestyler at age 14, was a finalist at the NJCAA National Swimming Championships, served as captain of the swim team at the University of Evansville, and holds an accounting degree and a law degree.
Tim Regan has 16 years of professional swim coaching experience, has trained swimmers to regional, state, and zone levels, developed and directed Learn to Swim programs, served as Vice President of the Westchester County Swimming Association for 10 years, is Co-Chairman of Swim Across America, trains triathletes, and was a 4-year Varsity Letterman at Villanova University. Richard Mojica has 21 years of professional coaching experience, is Head Coach of Boston Latin Academy and Assistant Coach at Notre Dame Academy, has trained swimmers to state, national, and international levels, holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and is fluent in English and Spanish. Steve Guthrie has 43 years of professional coaching experience, has been Head Coach of De La Salle High School for 30 years, developed more than 20 All-Americans and 5 U.S. Olympic Trial qualifiers, has been named California High School Mens Swimming Coach-of-the-Year and North Coast Section Coach-of-the-Year, received the Distinguished Service Award from the North Coast Section, and holds a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and a Master of Physical Education Administration.
Rick Wheeler has a 14-year coaching career, has spent 13 years at Peak Performance Swim Camp as coach and business manager, is head coach for the Lake Havasu Swim Team, and is an ASCA Stroke Technician. Dave Cracknell has 30 years of professional swim coaching experience across several countries, is described as a world-renowned triathlon and swim coach to multiple Olympians and elite age group athletes, has been a member of multiple Canadian National Triathlon Teams, competed in the Commonwealth Games, is an Ironman Hawaii World Championship finisher, taught physical education and mathematics for 15 years, and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education. Scott Gainey has over 24 years of coaching and teaching experience, was awarded Regional Coach-of-the-Year in 2017 and 2018, and has produced high-level qualifiers including Olympic Trials Qualifiers and Commonwealth Games Qualifiers.
