About the provider
The Albany, Georgia YMCA began through the efforts of 100 businessmen who met on October 25, 1909 at the New Albany Hotel. Since its beginning at the corner of Pine and Jefferson in 1910, the Albany Area YMCA has been part of life in the community. It is a volunteer-driven, charitable, and non-profit organization that serves preschool children, youth, adults, seniors, and families. Each year, over 12,000 people are involved in YMCA programs. Its mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
