About

YMCA Summer Camp includes general summer camp activities and sports. The program uses an interest form for families to indicate interest in participation, and this form is not a guarantee of enrollment because space is limited. This registration is for participation at the YMCA CENTRAL FACILITY SITE ONLY.

• Ages: 5–10 years old
• Schedule: Camp runs June 2–July 25, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm, with no camp on July 3 and 4; morning drop-off ends at 9:00 am, and no drop-offs are accepted after 9:00 am.
• Price: Tuition per week is $100 for members and $120 for non-members, with a $55 registration fee.

Registration is open from April 28 to May 16, and if space is available, registration reopens on May 26. During registration, participants must select all the weeks needed to reserve, and payment is drafted on the Friday before each Monday start. If a reserved week of childcare needs to be canceled, contact is required by the Thursday before that Monday’s start, and a 24-hour wait between registration and the child beginning the program is required for registrations after May 26. A waiver must be signed and included with registration, and online registration and payment are required.

Children are provided breakfast, lunch, and a snack, and parents or guardians are asked to remain in the vehicle at arrival. YMCA staff come to the vehicle to perform a temperature check for childcare participants, and upon passing the temperature check, children are allowed to enter. Children’s bags and belongings are disinfected and their hands are sanitized before entering the classroom, and families are asked to send water with the child each day. A late fee is charged for pickups after 6:00 pm.

The YMCA Youth Development Department is closed the week of May 26–30 and from July 28–August 1 to allow staff transition time between programs, and afterschool begins on August 4. All programs, services, and operations are based on the community values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and members, program participants, staff, and volunteers are encouraged to share this character development focus.

The Albany, Georgia YMCA began through the efforts of 100 businessmen who met on October 25, 1909, at the New Albany Hotel, and since 1910 the Albany Area YMCA has been part of community life. The organization’s stated mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, and it is a proud community partner of United Way of Southwest Georgia.
