Each iD Tech experience is led by instructors from universities such as Stanford and NYU, with selective hiring practices and intensive hybrid training for instructors. The program’s mission is to create life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future. iD Tech Camps and Teen Academies began in 1999 with 280 students per year and has grown to 50,000 students per year around the world over 25 years. The leadership team includes co-founders Kathryn Ingram-Cauchi and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi, first CEO Pete Ingram-Cauchi, and CEO Tana Barton Haas. The organization describes itself as the nation’s original and most trusted youth STEM educator for kids and teens, with summer camp experiences at 75 universities, day and overnight camp options, and a long-term learning system that equips kids and teens with skills for in-demand careers. Over 50,000 girls have graduated from the camps and academies, and over 1 million parents trust iD Tech, which is described as the number one-rated tech camp. The program states that no other program has its track record of long-term student success, passion, demand, or reputation as the world’s largest and most trusted tech program, and it is offering more scholarships than ever before to students from underserved communities.
