The Dale Murphy Foundation Youth Baseball & Service Programs include youth baseball, global mission work, and community service. Activities include a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with service projects, field renovations, sports equipment support, educational resources support, and adaptive programs for children with special needs. The program also includes mentorship and time to explore beaches, scenic hikes, and local culture during free time on the mission trip.

The Dale Murphy Foundation Youth Baseball & Service Programs are led by Dale Murphy, Founder and Co-Director, and Nancy Murphy, Co-Director. The mission of the program is to use the universal love of baseball to inspire community development, empower youth, and promote equity nationwide, with supporters throughout California including San Marino and greater Los Angeles County. The Dominican Republic service trip is hosted by The Dale Murphy Foundation and The Baseball Island Foundation.
Dale Murphy’s credentials include being a two-time NL MVP, Roberto Clemente Award winner, World Humanitarian Hall of Fame inductee, Sports Illustrated 1987 Sportsman of the Year, being named one of Sports Illustrated’s “Athletes Who Care the Most,” a 7-time MLB All-Star, and a 5-time Gold Glove winner. The foundation focuses on access to play through scholarships, equipment grants, and program support, offers inclusive and adaptive programs for children with special needs, and includes character development through mentorship and intentional programming. It is a national nonprofit based in the Atlanta area with supporters in San Marino, California and greater Los Angeles County.
The Dale Murphy Foundation connects with communities from San Marino, California to other parts of the country, and San Marino families can fund youth programming nationwide by donating or shopping the Foundation store. Every gift from California families goes directly to empowering youth across the country and around the world, and 100% of shop proceeds and donations go directly to the cause. Families can also shop memorabilia where 100% of proceeds support the foundation programs.
