About
The Music Class offers music and movement classes for children and their adults in a mixed-age program for infants through 4-year-olds. Classes include creative movement activities and music from award-winning song collections that feature musical styles like rock, jazz, opera, and traditional songs from all over the world. Music is written and recorded in-house, and families receive music to use for repetition outside of the classroom.
• Ages: 0–4 years old

The Music Class Inc. (TMC) is an early childhood music education company that offers research-based music and movement classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, with programs designed to teach children in the ways they learn best. The program is family-owned and operated with a small office team based in Atlanta and is an international program with over 1,000 locations and 75,000 students worldwide. The leadership team includes founder and director Rob Sayer, Executive Vice President of Operations and Technology David Wetzel, and COO and director of TMC in China, Raina Sayer. The Music Class was founded by Rob Sayer in Atlanta, GA, in 1998.
Many Atlanta teachers can be heard on the award-winning recordings used in class, and the music collections feature recordings by Grammy-nominated musicians, as well as performances by Rob, Raina, and many TMC teachers, students, and alumni. Staff credentials include Berné Poliakoff, who majored in Voice at the College of Charleston and has been a professional musician her entire adult life; Bowen Hoadley, who graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in Music; David Wetzel, a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA; Doris Seiden, who has a B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Dance from NYU School of the Arts; and Hope Earley, who majored in Early Childhood Education at UGA. TMC works closely with center directors around the world and offers both mommy and me style classes and preschool music curriculum, with an option to schedule a free trial class.
The mission of The Music Class states that all programs are research-based and designed to teach children in the ways they learn best, that the organization believes in the highest quality education and support for children, teachers, and business partners, and that music is viewed as a creative and expressive art with a joyful path to becoming a musical person. The mission also states that The Music Class embraces families from all cultures and backgrounds and stands against racism in both its classrooms and its music.
Parent reviews describe teachers as enthusiastic and engaging, and note that families have enrolled across multiple seasons and with multiple children. Reviews mention that children sing the songs at home, use their music books and instruments, and recognize songs from class, including tonal patterns. Several parents describe The Music Class as a fun activity to do with their babies and toddlers, and some note that their entire family participates. One review highlights that The Music Class quickly offered virtual classes and open webinars during the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020.
