Play & Learn Child Enrichment Program

Play & Learn Child Enrichment Program offers music and movement, literacy, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), and arts and crafts activities. The program’s curriculum changes every week throughout the year, and the same activities are offered each day at every branch so families who use multiple facilities see the same options. It is available on a voluntary basis for families, and religious beliefs are respected and inclusive when families have specific preferences.

• Schedule: Program hours are Monday–Friday 9:00am–12:00pm and 4:00pm–7:30pm, and Saturday 9:00am–12:00pm, with Play & Learn available for up to 2 hours per day and up to 8 hours per week.
• Price: The service is free to all active Y members with a family membership.

The Play & Learn Child Enrichment Program is available at all CSRA area branches and is described as the only one of its kind in the region. It has been uniquely developed by the Y’s educational experts. The Augusta South Family YMCA lists Sharon Crosby as Senior Vice President, Kerek Jenkins as Executive Director, and Kristin Dennies as Program Director. With a 168-year legacy of service in the CSRA, the organization states that its mission is to serve individuals and families in the CSRA through programs designed to build healthy spirit, mind and body, reflecting the values of the Judeo-Christian tradition while maintaining respect for all people. The Augusta South Family YMCA is an Armed Services YMCA affiliate located in the heart of the Fort Gordon community.
